Access MediQuip, a national provider of surgical implant management solutions, has announced it is sponsoring the inaugural meeting of the Society for Ambulatory Spine Surgery, according to an Access MediQuip news release.
The meeting takes place Nov. 3 in Chicago at Sullivan's Steakhouse on 415 North Dearborn St.
The mission of SASS is to promote ambulatory surgery center spine surgery, with a goal to move 50 percent of all of the spine surgery done in the United States to an outpatient setting.
"We believe in the mission of SASS, and we are pleased to support the organization's efforts," said Prakash Patel, MD, CEO of Access MediQuip, in the release. "We commend the physicians who have come together to shed greater light on the importance and safety of spine surgeries in the ambulatory setting."
The event will feature a panel of spine surgeons and financial experts including Drs. Bill Smith, Randy Dwyer and Kenneth Pettine, Kenneth Hancock and Robin Young who will discuss best practices in the pursuit of clinical, financial, and operational excellence in performing spine procedures in an ambulatory setting.
