Access MediQuip, a national provider of surgical implant management solutions, has announced is has reached an agreement with Primary PhysicianCare, a medical management company headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., to provide surgical implant management services to its members, according to an Access MediQuip news release.
Under the agreement, Access MediQuip will provide a variety of services including devices acquisition, implant referral intake and coordination, implant verification, and prior authorization communication and coordination.
"Primary PhysicianCare and Access MediQuip have partnered together to lower healthcare costs and improve quality in the surgical implant sector, which is a great foundation from which to build a strong, productive and positive relationship together," said Jon Buffa, executive vice president of client services and network for Access MediQuip, in the release. "We bring powerful data and analytics, proven cost management services, and quality and safety programs to bear on the rapidly growing implant surgical sector, and will yield considerable benefits to Primary PhysicianCare."
PhysicianCare's PPO network includes more than 16,000 physicians, facilities and hospitals throughout the Carolinas.
