- Montgomery, Ala.-based Southeastern Cardiology officially closed in May following ongoing closure rumors.
Arkansas
- Saint Mary's Physician Services closed its clinic in Atkins, Ark., on Dec. 19. One of the physicians at the Millard-Henry Clinic of Atkins, family medicine physician Timothy Johnson, MD, will be leaving the clinic for an administrative position with the state of Arkansas.
Georgia
- The Dayton, Ga.-based private practice of OB-GYN Paul Pawlosky, MD, will be closing Dec. 31.
Idaho
- In March, Nampa, Idaho-based Saltzer Health closed down. The physician group, which Intermountain Health acquired in October 2020, cited financial and economic challenges in a Jan. 18 news release as reasons for closing or selling.
Indiana
- The Lafayette, Ind.-based pain management practice of Julian Ungar, MD, unexpectedly closed May 1.
Iowa
- MercyOne closed a hospital and consolidated two physician practices in Primghar, Iowa, in September. MercyOne, owned by Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, will consolidate MercyOne Paulina Family Medicine and MercyOne Sutherland Family medicine with Primghar Family Medicine.
- Grand River Medical Group's Cascade (Iowa) Clinic closed in February.
Kansas
- Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health announced plans to close Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City on June 1 and to transfer the Marian Dental Clinic in Topeka, Kan., and the St. Vincent Clinic in Leavenworth, Kan., to Atchison (Kan.) Community Health Clinic.
Maryland
- Family medicine physician Kristen Clark, MD, is closing her practice, Ellicott City, Md.-based Well Being Medical Care, part of Privia Health, Dec. 4.
Maine
- Lewiston, Maine-based St. Mary's Health System announced plans to close its oncology practice, St. Mary's Center For Cancer and Blood Disorders, on July 1.
Massachusetts
- Springfield (Mass.) Anesthesia Service will shutter Dec. 31, laying off 91 employees.
Michigan
- Saginaw Township, Mich.-based Women's OB-GYN permanently closed in September after 74 years.
Minnesota
- Edina, Minn.-based Silverman Ankle & Foot will close on March 2, 2025, after 20 years in operation as the practice’s surgeon, Lance Silverman, MD, is relocating to Atlanta.
New York
- Auburn (N.Y.) Cardiology Associates closed its doors following the retirement of owner and head physician Rama Godishala, MD.
Ohio
- TriHealth closed its Cincinnati-based clinic specializing in the treatment of fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in October after the departure of physician Jennifer Lobert, MD.
Oregon
- The Portland (Ore.) Clinic will be closing all patient care and clinical services at its downtown location in mid-December, ongoing safety concerns for staff and clients. The medical chain will shutter patient care at its downtown office, citing crime concerns in the area.
Texas
- Hoang Ho, MD, closed her private practice, Raintree Medical Group in Allen, Texas, on Oct. 31 and join the Baylor Scott & White Family Medicine Clinic.
- Family medicine physician Gustaco Villarreal, MD, closed his practice in Laredo, Texas, on Nov. 1.
Virginia
- Dumbarton, Va.-based Commonwealth Gastroenterology will shutter Feb. 28. The practice is owned and operated by gastroenterologist Scott Woogen, MD, who has been serving the area for more than 30 years and will be retiring.
- The Children’s Medical Center Martinsville (Va.) will close Jan. 1 after 55 years of practice, citing unavoidable financial hardship.
- Lynchburg (Va.) Gynecology closed Sept. 7.
Wisconsin
- In March, Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System announced plans to close two hospitals and all physician offices and health centers it operates in Western Wisconsin with multispecialty group Prevea Health.
