Optum's SCA Health acquires OrthoAlliance

Deerfield, Ill.-based SCA Health, Optum's ASC arm, has acquired OrthoAlliance, a spokesperson for the orthopedic management services organization confirmed to Becker's.

Private equity-backed, Sharonville, Ohio-based OrthoAlliance, which has partnered with more than 200 physicians across all orthopedics and sports medicine specialties, joined SCA Health on Nov. 1.

"Since our founding in 2019, we have focused on providing instant access to high-quality, value-based care throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky," the spokesperson said. "As part of SCA Health, OrthoAlliance will continue to focus on improving the health of the patients we serve."

OrthoAlliance was founded in partnership with Midwest physician practices and Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm.

SCA Health also quietly purchased at least two cardiovascular providers in 2023 — National Cardiovascular Partners and Pivotal Healthcare.
