A podiatrist from London, Ky., has been indicted for alleged Medicaid fraud following a criminal investigation by the Kentucky Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control Unit into his billing practices, according to a news release by Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway.
Richard E. Skrip, MD, allegedly submitted false claims for services he did not perform for 26 patients between May 2001 and May 2008. The bogus claims submitted to the federal program amounted to approximately $25,000.
