Former Executive of Hospital Management Company Faces Fraud Charges

The former chief financial officer of Gainesville, Fla.-based H.C. Healthcare, which owns and operates Jasper, Fla.-based Trinity Community Hospital, has been arrested in Illinois for her involvement in a fraud scheme, according to a Gainesville Sun report.

As the former CFO, Natalie Ann Krasnow was responsible for applying and accounting for grants from the Florida Department of Health, which were distributed with the intention of improving Trinity. More than $660,000 was received by the hospital, but very little if any was used toward making such improvements, according to the report.

Instead, a majority of the grants were allegedly used to support fraudulent activities operating out of the hospital or for the personal uses of Ms. Krasnow or her brother Robert A. Krasnow, former owner of Trinity, according to the report.

Ms. Krasnow is the eighth person associated with or employed by H.C. Healthcare who has been arrested in connection to the alleged fraud occurring at Trinity.
