Surgical Notes, a nationwide provider of medical transcription, coding, electronic medical records and other value-added IT services for ambulatory surgery centers, has installed a new .NET web-based clinical documentation platform to Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, Texas, and Methodist McKinney (Texas) Hospital, according to Jeff Blankinship, CEO of Surgical Notes.
ScanChart is an electronic medical forms generator and document imaging solution. It will be used in conjunction with the hospitals' Meditech EMR and patient accounting software to expedite the assembly of the patient chart.
"These facilities generate complex patient charts and preoperative clinical staff consumes significant time assembling the chart and manually applying sticky labels," says Mr. Blankinship. "The assembly of these charts, and inclusion of specific physician forms, will be seamless with ScanChart — by reducing administrative burdens, the clinical staff can spend more time with patients resulting in higher clinical quality of care."
He says Surgical Notes is excited to roll out this new platform to several other hospitals and ASCs.
