The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program has awarded Morris (Ill.) Hospital and Healthcare Centers with full accreditation, according to a report from the Morris Daily Herald.
The hospital's accreditation is effective April 25, 2011-2014. The onsite survey took place in February.
Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is a not-for-profit, 86-bed hospital located 55 miles southwest of Chicago in Grundy County.
"Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care," said Michael Zarski, CEO of the HFAP, in the Morris Daily Herald report. "We base our decision on federal standards, patient safety and treatment, quality improvement and environmental safety. Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers met or exceeded standards in every case."
