Access MediQuip, a national provider of surgical implant management solutions, has announced the company has achieved a strategic milestone of supplying surgical devices to more than 100 hospitals over the past two years, according to an Access MediQuip news release (pdf).
These hospital partners account for approximately one-third of Access MediQuip's revenue.
"This milestone speaks to how much hospitals value what Access MediQuip provides them as they seek better solutions and results in the expensive and complex surgical implant device sector," said Prakash Patel, MD, CEO of Access MediQuip, in the release. "We have hundreds of surgical facilities in our national network, and now almost one third of our network activity is generated by hospitals and we are executing plans for continued significant growth in 2012 and beyond."
According to the release, Access MediQuip developed a program specifically customized for hospitals that is designed to address cash flow concerns, control administrative costs with inventory and operational management, manage hospital reimbursement risk and help hospitals manage the quality and reimbursement requirements of federal healthcare reform. Hospital partners include University of California San Francisco Medical Center and University General Hospital in Houston.
