Treating Chronic Pain With Addiction Can be Challenging

Treating chronic pain patients who also have addictions to substances like alcohol and opiates can be very challenging, according to a report by the Reading Eagle.

When treating these patients, it is important for staff members to be affirming and to let them know that their lives can improve.
