Chondroitin Relives Pain Arthritic Hands

A new trial found six months of chondroitin treatment resulted in significant improvements in pain and function in patients with osteoarthritis in their hands, according to a MedPage Today report.

Researchers found that after treatment, scores on the 30-point Functional Index for Hand OA decreased by 2.9 points in the chondroitin group and 0.7 points in the placebo group.
