Plans for two ASCs in Alabama were granted certificates of need despite opposition, the National Law Review reported Sept. 21.

Englewood (N.J.) Health cut the ribbon on an outpatient medical center in Jersey City, N.J., after receiving a $4 million gift from ZT Systems, a cloud and telecom service provider, roi-nj.com reported Sept. 21.

The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health has broken ground on a new ASC on its campus in Bel Air, Md., according to a Sept. 20 report from The Daily Record.

The University of Illinois Chicago has cut the ribbon on a $194 million project that features an ASC, the academic health system said Sept. 13. 

Kelsey-Seybold plans to open a 165,000-square-foot medical campus in Spring, Texas, that will include an ASC, a cancer center, and offer primary and specialty care services. 

Billings Clinic in Bozeman, Mont., opened a 140,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic on Sept. 13, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. 

Healthcare Solutions Holdings has entered an agreement with Keith Zacher, MD, and his speciality group to invest $68 million in the opening of an ASC and 10 advance care medical complexes near Phoenix.

Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists opened its renovated orthopedic ASC in Gautier, Miss., after a 25,000-square-foot expansion to its center on the group's East Lake campus.

Houston-based Kelsey-Seybold is building an ASC in Webster, Texas, a Houston suburb, the Houston Business Journal reported Aug. 29.
