A joint-venture partnership between United Surgical Partners International and San Francisco-based Catholic Healthcare West has added three Arizona ambulatory surgery centers to its portfolio, according to a joint news release and a report from the Phoenix Business Journal.
The ASCs — Metro Surgery Center in Phoenix, Surgery Center of Peoria and Surgery Center of Scottsdale — were previously managed by USPI but not affiliated with the health system.
The USPI and CHW joint venture affiliation was created in 2003, with the entity operating outpatient surgery centers together in three states, according to the report.
