Eastern Niagara Hospital, based in Lockport, N.Y., has filed a certificate-of-need application to develop a new ambulatory surgery center in Lockport, according to a report from Buffalo Business First.
The $5.6 million project calls for renovating 13,490-square-feet at an existing primary care extension clinic for a multi-specialty ASC, with surgical specialties including orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, GI/endoscopy, ophthalmology and general surgery.
The surgery center would include four operating rooms and be called Eastern Niagara Ambulatory Surgery Center, according to the report.
The plan will undergo a full review by the state Department of Health's Hospital Review & Planning Council.
