St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Mich., has finished construction on the last phase if its $50 million surgery center project, according to a Detroit News report.
The surgical pavilion opened in fall 2009 with eight suites and last month opened new surgical and endoscopy waiting areas, a new reception area and a locker room for surgeons. The additions feature computerized tracking boards to provide families with updates on a patient's surgery progress, as well as more private seating arrangements.
