Michigan's Cheboygan Memorial Hospital Resumes Outpatient Surgery Services

The former Cheboygan (Mich.) Memorial Hospital resumed outpatient surgical services on Tuesday, according to a Cheboygan News report.

The return of surgery follows the May 8 opening of the facility's physician clinics and the May 15 re-opening of emergency services, continuing the public recovery of the hospital after it closed for five weeks in April and May while completing its sale to McLaren Health Care Corporation.

McLaren does not have a specific plan or timetable to add more services at the former hospital. At present, employment at the former CMH campus is approximately 170 people.
