Amerinet Launches ACO Resource Center

Amerinet, a national healthcare group purchasing organization, has announced the launch of an accountable care organization resource center which features information provided by The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice.

The ACO Resource Center is accessible on the Amerinet website and the website of Inquisit, Amerinet's strategic education partner.

The resource center offers articles focusing on ACO research, ideas and practical advice.

"There are currently varying definitions for ACOs, but at its core, an ACO has the same basic goals espoused by Amerinet — to reduce costs, improve quality and help providers develop skills and resources in a collaborative fashion to serve patients," said Todd Ebert, president and CEO, Amerinet, in a company news release. "As part of our ongoing mission to provide the most up-to-date resources on healthcare reform and the many issues our customers face, we are linking members with information provided by The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, which offers a comprehensive listing of literature and key issues on ACOs in The Dartmouth Atlas of Healthcare."
