Amerinet, a national healthcare group purchasing organization, has announced Patricia Klancer, senior director, supply chain, Amerinet Diagnostix, was elected as a new member to the GS1 Healthcare U.S. Leadership Team.
GS1 provides established standards that enable the sharing of standardized product and location information to ensure that all supply chain partners are using identical, up-to-date, reliable data.
As part of the G1 leadership team, Ms. Klancer will be work with healthcare providers, manufacturers, distributors, group purchasing organizations, industry associations, pharmacies and healthcare professionals to implement and effectively utilize GS1 Standards, best practices and Standards-based solutions to help improve patient safety and supply chain security and efficiency, according to an Amerinet news release.
"Amerinet has been a leader in implementing these standards with the goal of improving patient safety and driving costs out of the supply chain," said Ms. Klancer in the news relase. "For the past five years, Amerinet has proactively funded and obtained Global Location Numbers (GLNs) for members and has been working with suppliers to implement the use of GLNs and Global Trade Item Numbers. I look forward to serving on the GS1 Healthcare U.S. Leadership Team and continuing Amerinet's dedication in driving the GS1 Standards initiative with our members and supplier partners."
At Amerinet, Ms. Klancer provides leadership to Amerinet Diagnostix consultants and utilization managers on developing and implementing programs to help members achieve supply chain savings.
