1. This federal initiative is the first of many steps in President Obama's Precision Medicine Initiative, which is a $215 million program focused on personalizing medicine.
2. The government wants help in including underserved populations in the PMI research.
3. The government also wants to develop new EHR systems to help patients access clinical data and improve the information sharing between organizations.
4. Rainbow Coral is discussing different plans to aid the government's initiative.
5. The global personalized medicine market is expected to grow from $42 billion at present to $60 billion by 2019.
