University of Toledo Billing Practices From 2009 Came Under Review

A billing error has come to light for several 2009 procedures at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio, according to the Toledo Blade.

An investigation was launched into surgeries involving two physicians who were billed for surgeries at which they were not present, according to the report. A review committee recommended that money be refunded for the case in which the billing physician was not involved.

University officials maintain no wrongdoing occurred and any hint of noncompliance is continuously monitored.
