The Joint Commission is seeking comment from the healthcare industry on a proposal that would require licensed independent practitioners and staff to undergo influenza vaccination.
The proposal includes revisions to current requirements for hospitals, critical access hospitals and long-term care accreditation programs. It also includes new requirements for ambulatory care, behavioral healthcare, home care, laboratory, Medicare-based long-term care and office-based surgery accreditation programs.
