Austin, Texas-based Spindletop Pain Management Holdings and San Antonio-based Tricity Pain Associates announced Nov. 5 that they acquired Advanced Consultants in Pain Care in San Antonio.
What you should know:
1. The practice is run by Darius Zagunis, MD.
2. Spindletop and Tricity will incorporate the practice into their platform, which now has 27 providers and 17 clinics with three ASCs in Texas.
3. The acquiring entities are in the midst of developing a national pain management platform.
4. Spindletop Capital Management, the investment firm behind Spindletop Pain Management, committed $100 million to acquire spine practices in May.
