Anesthesiologist Joseph Lucero, MD, has joined the staff of Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo., according to a Sedalia News-Journal report.
Dr. Lucero received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He previously served as an anesthesiologist and acting chief medical officer in Iraq for the U.S. Department of State.
Board certified in anesthesiology, Dr. Lucero has received teaching awards from the University of Missouri School of Medicine curriculum board and the school's department of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine.
