Relievant Medsystems names new president and CEO

Medical device company Relievant Medsystems has appointed Tyler Binney as its new president and CEO to help lead the company forward in the treatment of chronic low back pain.

According to a company press release, Mr. Binney will replace interim CEO Arthur Taylor, who will return as a member of the company's board of directors. Mr. Binney was most recently president and general manager of interventional urology at Teleflex and has more than 20 years of experience in medical device leadership.

Relievant is preparing for increased growth with the addition of the Intracept procedure, a form of treatment for people experiencing chronic low back pain.

"Tyler is a proven leader and has a long and successful history of bringing disruptive medical devices to market. We look forward to leveraging his experience accelerating growth through commercial execution, product innovation, and the building of strong, integrated teams," said Richard Mott, executive board chair of Relievant.
