SourcePlus Passport enables facilities using SourceMedical's Vision, Vision EHR and AdvantX management systems to have patients complete their own pre-operative medical history securely via the Internet, which is then reviewed by clinical staff and confirmed with the patient. Verified patient information is automatically integrated back to AdvantX or Vision and tied to the patient's case, according to the release. The new integration also brings finalized documents back into patients' charts for easy access. This improved level of integration simplifies the clinical documentation management process and ensures all patient information is consistent and in one place, according to the release.
SourcePlus Passport can also reduce the amount of time nurses spend on the phone conducting pre-operative evaluations, with an average savings of approximately 22 minutes of clinical time per case. By allowing patients to submit their medical information at their convenience, information is more complete, and electronic documentation can eliminate lost paperwork and provides more legible and uniform results, according to the release.
