Orion Medical Services, a management and development company for ASCs, announced the construction of a new surgery center, the completion of a new orthopedic center and the opening of a new corporate office.
Orion is breaking ground on a new surgery center located near in The Dalles, Ore., near Portland. The 7,600 sq.-foot center will offer orthopedic and ophthalmology services and will feature two ORs and a GI procedure room. Orion expects that this center will be open before the end of 2009.
Orion is also nearing the completion of an orthopedic center in Corvallis, Ore. The orthopedic surgeon at the center will be Ron Wobig, MD, who is the sports doctor for the Oregon State University. The center will be complete by late Fall 2009.
Orion has opened a new corporate office in Burleson, Texas, near South Fort Worth. Orion's IT center for billing services remains in Eugene, Ore.
