HFAP Names Beverly Robins as New Director of Accreditation Services

Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program has announced Beverly Robins has been named director of accreditation services, according to an HFAP news release.

Ms. Robins will be responsible for helping to establish and implement HFAP policy, as well as oversee surveyor training and placement.

Ms. Robins most recently served as director of nursing ambulatory care at the University of Chicago. She previously served for eight years as the Joint Commission's field director of ambulatory care.

This is HFAP's second executive appointment within a month. The accreditor recently named Joseph L. Cappiello as the company's new chief operating officer.

Ms. Robins took her post with HFAP on Oct. 17.

"I'm thrilled to have someone of Ms. Robins' caliber join our organization," said Michael J. Zarski, CEO of HFAP, in the release. "Healthcare delivery is evolving at breakneck speed, and so is the accreditation process. Bringing Beverly and Joe onboard — two seasoned accreditation experts — demonstrates HFAP's commitment to staying at the front of that curve. Combining education with rigorous assessment, HFAP will continue to help hospitals meet swiftly evolving quality standards."
