Healthmark Industries Co., which develops products for the sterilization, decontamination, storage and security of surgical instruments and other medical devices and accessories, has announced the launch of its AccuPoint-HC system, designed to help reduce hospital-acquired infections, according to a news release from Healthmark Industries.
The system is designed to analyze a collected sample in 30 seconds and indicate whether a surface is clean. The information is displayed on the reader as well as accompanying Data Manager software.
Features include a flat surface that comes in complete contact with the area being sampled and a self-contained cartridge designed to minimize the opportunity for false positive results from poor collection technique, according to the release.
