AmkaiSolutions, which provides electronic solutions to ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals and surgical practices, launched a new web-based portal that provides ASC physicians and their practices with remote access to key surgery center data at the ASC Association's 2012 conference in Dallas.
The AmkaiSolutions Physician Portal will be accessible through the company's website. The ASC will issue logins and customizable permissions for the portal for surgeons and their staff, and users will be able to access a wide variety of features, including the ASC's surgery schedule, the ability to request surgical appointments and billing information on the procedures performed at the ASC.
Upcoming releases of the Physician Portal will feature valuable additional tools and resources for surgical practices. This includes plans to replace all paper/manual workflow-based activities between ASCs and their surgeons' practices with web-based automation.
