Lori Kough, a licensed practical nurse and office manager at Suncoast Pain Management in Sarasota, has been charged with 34 counts of prescription drug fraud and one count of Oxycodone trafficking, according to a Bradenton.com news report.
Ms. Kough would allegedly forge prescriptions and verify to the pharmacy that the physician had written them. She was paid $300 per prescription. According to the local sheriff, Ms. Kough obtained about 7,900 pills with a street value of more than $20,000.
