The Joint Commission re-certified Western Missouri Medical Center's orthopedic clinic in Warrensburg, according to the Daily-Star Journal.
Here are three things to know:
- The Joint Commission gave the WMMC's orthopedic clinic, Western Missouri Bone & Joint, the Gold Seal of Approval for both its total hip replacement and total joint replacement.
- The certifications occur every three years after an onsite review where experts from the Joint Commission evaluated WMMC's national disease-specific care compliance standards. Compliance with hip and knee replacement-specific standards was also assessed, in addition to clinical practice guidelines and performance measures.
- The center has held these certifications for three years before the re-certification. Western Missouri Bone & Joint provides orthopedic services including partial, total and revision joint replacement, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries and sports injury treatment.
