Greensboro (N.C.) Orthopaedics partnered with Reflexion Health, a virtual rehabilitation therapy company, to offer patients access to Reflexion's Virtual Exercise Rehabilitation Platform.

1. The platform allows physicians to remotely monitor a patient's rehabilitation process.
2. Greensboro Orthopaedics plans to incorporate the platform into its postoperative rehabilitation offerings for total joint replacement patients.
3. Greensboro surgeon Frank Aluisio, MD, said, "At Greensboro, we are constantly identifying new technologies to help us accommodate the needs of our joint replacement patients. Implementing transformative technology ... gives us a way to deliver consistent, high-quality post-operative care at a fixed cost."
4. Researchers are conducting additional studies on the FDA-approved platform to collect more data supporting its effectiveness. So far, the platform has improved compliance while saving time and cost in post-acute care rehabilitation.
