The work of Massachusetts spine surgeon James Macon, MD, and his use of Spine Surgical Innovation's Swivel Port MIS Retractor System was recently featured in an article published in the Boston Globe Magazine.
Dr. Macon, who practices out of Framingham, Mass., at Framingham NeuroSpine, helped develop the technology, which is designed to allow surgeons minimally invasive access to the lumbar region of the spine.
The article discusses how the technology is used, how Dr. Macon became involved in development of the Swivel Port System and the patient and physician benefits of the technology.
In addition to quotes from Dr. Macon, the article also features commentary from Chris Zorn, SSI's vice president.
