Eric Donnenfeld, MD, founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, stepped into the role of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery president at the society's annual congress and symposium held April 19 to 23 in San Francisco.
Dr. Donnenfeld currently serves as surgeon director of Lions Eye Bank of Long Island in Valley Stream, N.Y., Connecticut national medical director of TLC Laser Eye Centers and clinical professor of ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center.
He previously served as the ASCRS vice president. Dr. Donnenfeld is the 28th ASCRS president.
