The administrator of Mount Nittany Surgical Center in State College, Pa., has been hired as CEO of physician-owned Mountain View Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo., according to a news release from B.E. Smith, which conducted the executive search.
William Stangl will assume his new role at the hospital on Aug. 22.
He brings to the hospital more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, which includes his work at Mount Nittany Surgical Center, executive leadership positions at Northern Wyoming Surgical Center in Cody, Wyo., and at Mercy Health Services/Bon Secours-Holy Family Health System in Altoona, Pa., according to the release.
"Mountain View was seeking a CEO with proven surgical management and clinical operations skills, as well as a track record of recruiting and working with physician-investors," said Kathy Hall, vice president of executive search for B. E. Smith, in the release. "Bill's background and skill set is a perfect fit for their needs."
