A proposed medical office building developed by Lorain, Ohio-based Mercy Regional Medical Center (formerly Community Regional Medical Center) would include an ambulatory surgery center, according to a report from The Sun News published on www.Cleveland.com.
The 82,000-square-foot MOB to be built in Avon, Ohio, received planning commission approval contingent upon engineering issues. Mercy Hospital will need approval from the city council to build the facility.
In addition to the ASC, the MOB would also have physician offices and provide diagnostic services, according to the report.
