Physician-Developed Handheld Device Helps Patients Track Eye Disease

A new handheld digital device helps patients with degenerative eye disease track vision changes, according to a news release by IT Southwestern Medical Center.

 

The device, myVisionTrack, was developed by Yu-Guang He, MD, associate professor of ophthalmology at UT Southwestern.

 

Supplied as an application on an iPhone or iPod touch, the device helps patients perform an accurate self-test in less than 90 seconds.
