Pennsylvania Health System Breaks Ground on New Surgery Center in Peters Township

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based West Penn Allegheny Health System has announced it has broken ground on a new ASC in Peters Township, Pa., just south of Pittsburgh.

 

West Penn Allegheny expects to invest $14 million to develop Outpatient Care Center – Peters Township in a 55,000-square-foot facility, which will also house oncology clinics.

 

The ASC's first occupants will be Patrick DeMeo, MD, and other physicians from Allegheny General Hospital's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Division of Sports Medicine, which is the official medical provider for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
