Emily Birkholz, MD, an ophthalmologist, has joined Ophthalmology Associates of Mankato, Minn., according to a report by the St. James Plaindealer.
Dr. Birkholz completed her residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and received her MD degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
In residency she received the Leinfelder Award, given to the top resident research project at the University of Iowa. She gave a poster presentation of her work at the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology Conference in 2010 and 2011.
