Jean Joseph Paul, the operator of God Cares, a home health company located in Miami-Dade County, was arrested on charges he defrauded the Florida Medicaid program for more than $54,000, according to news release by the Office of the Attorney General of Florida.
Medicaid fraud investigators allege that Mr. Paul submitted numerous claims for medical services that were never provided, according to a news release from Florida’s attorney general.
Mr. Paul is charged with one count of organized fraud, a first-degree felony, one count of grand theft, a second-degree felony and one count of Medicaid fraud, a third-degree felony. If convicted, he faces up to 45 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
