Medical Facilities Corporation Increases Revenue to $220M in 2011

Medical Facilities Corporation has announced financial results for the three and 12-month periods ended Dec. 31, 2011, according to a Newswire report.



The company saw revenues of $220.8 million in 2011, compared to $217.9 million in 2010. MFC also reported an operating income of $82.4 million, compared to $81.7 million of 2010. The operating margin was down to 37.3 percent in 2011 compared to 37.5 percent in 2010.

The fourth quarter saw slight decreases from the previous year, at $62.9 million in Q4 2011 compared to $64.4 million in Q4 2010. The fourth quarter had an operating income of $24.6 million and an operating margin of 39.2 percent. 

"We are pleased to report another year of increasing revenues and operating incomes in 2011," said Donald Schellpfeffer, MD, CEO of MFC. HE said the company encountered positive case mix and increased pain management procedures at some centers, offset in part by declines in volume and less favorable case and payor mixes in other facilities.
