McKesson, a healthcare services and information technology company, reported $28.2 billion in third quarter revenues for the 2011 fiscal year, according to a company news release.
The company acquired US Oncology during the third quarter. Distribution sales during the third quarter were flat, while U.S. pharmaceutical distribution revenues were down 1 percent due to reduced revenues associated with two warehouse customers and the prior year's impact of the H1N1 flu virus.
The Canadian revenues grew 2 percent during the quarter. Medical-surgical distributions were down by 2 percent during the third quarter. The company attributes the decrease to the impact of last year's H1N1 flu virus.
Revenues were up by 2 percent in Technology Solutions, which included $23 million of previously deferred revenues for a disease management contract.
