Eydie Miller-Ellis, MD, professor of clinical ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and director of the glaucoma division at Scheie Eye Institute, was awarded the Women in Ophthalmology's Suzanne Veronneau Troutman Award at the 2011 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting, according to a Westmoreland Times report.
Dr. Miller earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and joined the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania and Scheie Eye Institute in 2001. Dr. Miller's research interests include medical and surgical interventions for glaucoma and diagnostic techniques for the evaluation of glaucoma.
