The Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Center Association has named Dr. Perry Haney, medical director of SpineOne, which is based in Lone Tree, Col., as the recipient of its Medical Leader of the Year award for 2011.
Dr. Haney received the award for "his passionate support of CASCA and the ASC industry," according to a CASCA news release.
Dr. Haney is a medically and chiropractic-trained physician. His work on behalf of surgery centers has included meeting with legislators to make the case for the importance of bipartisan support of the ASC industry and he and his business underwrote the Quality Research Initiative, a statewide survey that documents information on the types and quality of services provided by ASCs in Colorado, according to the release. The QRI research contains clinical data that measures the efficacy and quality of services provided by ASCs.
