Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, Mich., developed plans for a new outpatient surgery center in Grass Lake, Mich.
Three things to know:
1. The health system purchased 40 acres of land in Grass Lake to build an outpatient surgery center. The new facility will be a "hub" for same-day surgical procedures.
2. In addition to outpatient surgery, the site could expand to include other outpatient services, but the health system hasn't set a timeline for further development.
3. Henry Ford Allegiance Health is a 475-bed health system with a Level II trauma center.
