The city of Auburn, Ala., will invest $2 million in a new medical services building, according to The Auburn Villager.
Three highlights:
1. At up to 80,000 square feet, the building will include an ASC and a freestanding emergency room, with orthopedic, endoscopy, ENT, ophthalmology, radiology and pharmacy services.
2. The city's $2 million investment will come as a $200,000 annual contribution. The Auburn City Council approved the investment Aug. 6.
3. Auburn University is investing about $11 million in the project, and the Opelika, Ala.-based East Alabama Healthcare Authority will commit about $33.7 million.
