William D. Chey, MD, AGAF, FACG, FACP, is one of the editors-in-chief of the American College of Gastroenterology's The American Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Chey is director of the GI Physiology Laboratory and co-director of the Michigan Bowel Control Program in the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. He is also an H. Marvin Pollard Institute Scholar in the division of gastroenterology. In addition to his editorial responsibilities with The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Dr. Chey is co-editor-in-chief of the journal Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology.
Glenn M. Eisen, MD, MPH, FASGE, is the editor-in-chief of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Eisen practices at The Oregon Clinic in Portland. He is a recipient of the ASGE's Edward J. Berk State of the Art Endowed Lecture honor. He also serves as a clinical professor of medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. Dr. Eisen was director of endoscopy at the university from 2003 to 2010. Dr. Eisen is director and secretary of the GI Quality Improvement Consortium.
Martin H. Floch, MD, AGAF, FACP, MACG, is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. He practices in Fairfield, Conn., and serves as an assistant clinical profess of medicine at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. Dr. Floch focuses on GI issues such as intestinal disease, IBD, IBS and celiac disease.
Hashem B. El-Seraq, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the journal Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. El-Seraq is the chief of gastroenterology and hepatology section at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. He is also the Dan. L. Duncan Professor of Medicine at Baylor. Dr. El-Seraq has been recognized for his research in epidemiology of several digestive diseases. He also served as an associate editor of the journal Gastroenterology from 2006 to 2011.
Paul Moayyedi, BSc, MB, ChB, PhD, MPH, FRCP, FRCPC, FACG, is one of the editors-in-chief of the American College of Gastroenterology’s The American Journal of Gastroenterology. He also serves as co-editor-in-chief of the journal Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology. He serves as the director of the division of gastroenterology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He was a senior associate editor of The American Journal of Gastroenterology from 2004 to 2009.
M. Bishr Omary, MD, PhD, is editor-in-chief of the American Gastroenterological Association Institute's journal Gastroenterology. Dr. Omary is the professor and chair of the department of molecular and integrative physiology and the H. Marvin Pollard Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Omary served as an associate editor of Gastroenterology from 2006 to 2011 and of Molecular Biology of the Cell from 2004 to 2011.
