Great Neck, N.Y.-based Northwell Health named Peter McCann, MD, director of orthopedic surgery at New York City-based Lenox Health Greenwich Village.
Here's what you should know:
1. Lenox Health Greenwich Village is opening a $25 million ASC this fall. Dr. McCann will oversee orthopedic services at the new center.
2. Dr. McCann previously served as New York City-based Mount Sinai Beth Israel's orthopedic surgery chair. He was also a professor at New York City-based Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
3. Dr. McCann is a founding member of the New York City-based Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
4. In a release, Dr. McCann said, "Our goal at Lenox Health Greenwich Village is to provide easy access to high quality orthopaedic care at a convenient site in a brand new facility. Emphasizing patient-centered care, we will offer weekday appointments before and after work, weekend office hours as well as same day appointments for urgent conditions.”
