In his role as president and COO of Optum, Dirk McMahon oversees the entire enterprise's performance. Throughout his 14 years at Optum, he has held numerous leadership positions include COO of OptumRx.
Mr. McMahon served in information technology, operational and financial roles at UnitedHealthcare, as well. He was head of airport operations for Northwest Airlines.
Mr. McMahon earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame (Ind.).
