28 ASC industry leadership moves in 2018 so far

Here are 28 ASC leaders that started new positions in 2018:

Dubuque, Iowa-based Tri-State Surgery Center named Susan Gourley its new administrator.

Atlanta-based Eye Health America named Philip Islam its chief development officer.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare appointed four-star U.S. Army General Lloyd Austin, III, and L1 Health Managing Partner Meghan FitzGerald, DrPH, as independent directors to its board.

Tenet Healthcare added to its leadership team, naming Paola Arbour senior vice president and CIO and Marie Quintana senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

Tenet Healthcare promoted Monique Poessiger and Kurt Gross to new positions within the company

Former Aetna Senior Vice President Carl King will lead Leawood, Kan.-based NueHealth Holdings' five platform companies as its new CEO.

NueHealth Holdings named John Palumbo executive chairman and Scott C. Palecki as general counsel.

Hoover, Ala.-based Practice Partners in Healthcare's President and CEO Larry Taylor was voted the next president of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association's board.

Tampa, Fla.-based Physician Partners of America named Tracie Lawson president and COO.

ASCA elected Kecia Norling, RN, as vice president; Ann Shimek, RN, as secretary and Linda Nash as treasurer. Nashville, Tenn.-based AmSurg Vice President of Corporate Services Mark Wainner was elected to ASCA's board of directors.

Rick Sizemore, RN, added CEO to his administrator title at Spartanburg (S.C.) Surgery Center.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision Physician Services named Tony Andrulonis, MD, its new president of emergency medicine.

Thomas Cowhey began serving as Nashville-based Surgery Partners' executive vice president and CFO April 2.

Surgery Partners created a chief human resources officer role and named Angela Justice, PhD, to the position.

Surgery Partners appointed R. David Kretschmer chief strategy and transformation officer as well as interim CFO.

Surgery Partners named Wayne DeVeydt CEO.

Gainesville-based North Florida Regional Medical Center's CEO Brian Cook was promoted to president of HCA's Henderson, Nev.-based Far West Division.

Ravi Chari, MD, took over as president of Palm Harbor-based HCA's West Florida division May 1.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, D, appointed Birmingham, Ala.-based Surgical Care Affiliates' Kelli Collins, RN, to the State Health Coordinating Council as its large business representative

Nathan Hess joined Dallas-based Surgical Notes as its chief technology officer.

Houston-based Nobilis Health appointed Susan Watt to its board of directors Jan. 19.
